TVS or known as Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diodes are specially designed to protect electronics from voltage surges. Until recently, the most common protection components used for this purpose were gas tube arresters (also known as spark gaps). Despite some advantages, these components have numerous disadvantages. TVS diodes have been developed to replace gas tube arresters, and the JANTX1N6112AUS is an example of such a device in the family of TVS diodes.

JANTX1N6112AUS, a current-feedback (CF-TVS) component, is designed to protect sensitive products from overvoltage transient events.
