The L6731DTR is a two-phase voltage regulator integrated circuit (IC) designed by STMicroelectronics. This device is designed to provide highly reliable, efficient and cost-effective voltage regulation in commonplace, low power applications. It has a standard pin configuration and it is used as a voltage regulator integrated circuit (IC) in a wide range of applications such as computer motherboards, portable electronics and general-purpose voltage regulators.
The L6731DTR has two power factor correction phases capable of supplying up to +12V output and a -12V output. These two phases are coordinated with a regulated clock signal and a digital power converter, allowing for a synchronous rectification system and higher efficiency. The L6731DTR also includes a DC-DC timing circuit that ensure better load and temperature measurements, as well as a free running oscillator (phase jitter control).
The L6731DTR is also able to provide output voltages of up to 600MV, with less of the usual output ripple due to its stability capabilities.
