The STMicroelectronics L6738ATR is a switching controller designed for DC to DC power conversion applications requiring very low power dissipation, ultra-small size, light weight, and low voltage, allowing maximum flexibility. The device is rated for output voltages up to 3.3V and includes current-control PWM based modulation, low-ripple peak current control with slope compensation, and active current limit. It also provides a low-offset, low-power current control mode to enhance efficiency. The L6738ATR also offers adjustable over-voltage and under-voltage protection, as well as thermal protection.

The L6738ATR provides a fully-integrated solution and is suitable for a wide range of applications, such as notebook computers, portable DVD players, and other applications that rely on low-power consumption and high efficiency.
