The PMA layer is responsible for signal encoding/decoding, signal minimization, and crosstalk reduction. This layer also performs signal integrity checks, including bit error rate (BER) checking.

The USXGMII (Unified 10/100/1000BASE-T Serial Gigabit Media Independent Interface) interface is used to support the connection of 10M/100M/1000M Ethernet devices, allowing users to flexibly connect these devices to the LAN8710A-EZK. The device also supports dynamic rate switching, allowing for an automatic transition between different speeds as required.
