Aluminum electrolytic capacitors, generally referred to as electrolytic capacitors, are polarized and two-terminal components which can store energy in the form of an electric field and release it again by passing an electric current. The anti-polar nature of the electrolytic capacitor, as well as its structure, makes it much more reliable and efficient in its function. LAR2W181MELB30 is a type of aluminum electrolytic capacitor, which is designed and manufactured specifically to meet the needs of a wide range of applications from miniature circuits to ultra-high frequency components.

LAR2W181MELB30 has extremely low equivalent series resistance and equivalent series inductance, which makes it suitable for applications over a wide frequency range. Working Principle

LAR2W181MELB30 aluminum electrolytic capacitor is composed of a metallic anode (aluminum foil), an electrolytic medium (rubber paper), and a dielectric material (aluminum oxide membrane). It works excellently due to the the breakdown of the dielectric which occurs when a voltage is applied across the two electrodes. A potential difference is created between the two leads, where electrons are collected on the anode surface and ionized in the electrolyte. This results in a capacitance of the system.
