The LCE20 is a TVS diode device that provides surge protection for circuits, components and systems. The device is designed to protect against transient voltage surge and spike events, and is typically used in automotive, industrial, residential, and commercial telecommunications applications. The LCE20 is constructed with a Tri-Layer structure with an unidirectional version. It is then treated with an electrolytic zinc aluminum alloy to provide a protective watertight seal. It is an ultra low-capacitance ESD protection device with a low leakage current and high surge current capability that is ideal for new-generation I/O signals in personal computers and other portable communications devices. The working principle of the LCE20 is based on the principle of Transient Voltage Surge Suppression (TVSS). When a voltage surge occurs, the device suppresses the surge current by passing it through a series of low impedance reverse conduction paths. This process reduces the voltage at the nodes, thus reducing the effect of the surge event on the protected system. The LCE20 works in a similar manner to other surge protection devices, such as Transient Voltage Suppressors (TVS) diodes. These devices consist of a protected circuit and a pair of semiconductor diodes that are connected in series with the circuit. When a surge occurs, the diodes conduct current in a manner that is based on the reverse recovery characteristics of the diode. This reduces the voltage of the surge, thereby protecting the circuit from the surge event. The LCE20 is designed to have low capacitance so that it can protect high-speed interfaces up to 20kv ESD protection with an ESD current of 10-7A. This makes it suitable for use in a variety of applications, including USB, I2C, and RJ45 connections. The device also features a range of working voltages and a peak pulse power of 10kW which provides superior protection from high-energy surge events. In addition to providing surge protection, the LCE20 also offers EMI filtering to ensure that EMI signals are blocked from entering the circuit and causing any system malfunctions. The LCE20 is also designed to help reduce interference between EMI signals from various sources, such as cell phones, wireless networks, and other digital devices. The LCE20 is a reliable and cost-effective means of providing surge protection and EMI filtering in a range of applications. The device is designed to provide long-term protection and reliability, and is suitable for use in both commercial and residential telecommunications applications. The device is also highly durable and provides an additional layer of protection against transient voltage surge events.
