LM2639MX/NOPB

The LM2639MX/NOPB is a high density, low power integrated 1-Cell Li-Ion linear charger and system power supply with a high level of integration and flexibility.

The LM2639MX/NOPB combines a high efficiency 1-Cell linear charger, power-good output and adjustable input current / voltage limit features for high density applications. This device provides an adjustable output voltage from 1.5V to 4.4V and is able to support up to 1000mA for constant current charging and up to 0.5A for constant voltage charging.

The adjustable input current limit allows system designers to optimize the battery charge time and current drawn from the OEM power rail. An integrated charge termination timer and power-good output provide a reliable and safe system control method.

Working Principle

The LM2639MX/NOPB combines two linear regulators and two high performance linear battery chargers. Both regulators provide additional features such as voltage monitoring and current limiting, power good output and adjustable input current/voltage limit.

The two integrated high efficiency linear battery chargers are optimized for Li-Ion/Li-Polymer cells and provide adjustable current and voltage limits for charge termination. The integrated charge termination timer and power good output provide a reliable and safe system control method for battery charging.

In addition, the device provides an adjustable input current/voltage limit that can be used to optimize the device\'s power consumption and charging time.
