The LM3671TL-2.8/NOPB is a low-voltage, high-efficiency, high-current, step-down power supply specifically designed to efficiently provide up to 2.8A of continuous output current to microprocessors, digital signal processors and other applications running at low power supply voltages. The LM3671TL-2.8/NOPB is part of the USB-capable family of the LM3671TL step-down DC DC switching regulator. This family uses advanced Non-Synchronous Return to Zero (NSRZ) techniques to reduce the total power dissipation during light to medium load conditions. This NSRZ technique is ideal for portable systems where higher efficiency equates to longer run-times.

If the output current falls below the programmed level, the current sense circuit sends an error signal to the PWM comparator, which turns on the switch. When the output current reaches the set point, the error signal is reversed and the switch is turned off.

The LM3671TL-2.8/NOPB also has a wide range of safety features, including over-temperature protection, under-voltage lockout, and over-current protection. Additionally, the device features a low quiescent current, making it suitable for low power applications.
