Working Principle

The LM3691TL-2.5/NOPB is a current-mode synchronous buck regulator. It uses two voltage control loops to control the voltage output. If the output voltage drops too low, the operational amplifier produces a control signal that lowers the feedback voltage, thereby increasing the voltage output. The second voltage control loop is the current loop, which measures the inductor current and compares it against a current-mode reference voltage. If the inductor current exceeds the reference voltage, the LM3691TL-2.5/NOPB shuts off the switch.
