The LM5035AEVAL is a development board designed to evaluate the performance of the LM5035A, a high performance high voltage Buck regulator. It offers adjustable switching frequency, adjustable soft start time, enable input pin, over temperature protection, and adjustable output current limit. The LM5035AEVAL is part of the family of Evaluation Boards - DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS.

The LM5035A is a highly efficient, high current, synchronous Buck regulator that operates over a wide input voltage range. The board has two integrated high side MOSFETs for 8A continuous operation with minimum thermal design power loss. The high side MOSFETs also support up to 200V input voltage for applications that require a wide input range. The standard switching frequency of the LM5035A is 500KHz, however, the board includes a dedicated frequency adjust pin that can be used to adjust the switching frequency up to 3MHz.

The board offers various features such as adjustable soft start, adjustable current limit, and an enable input pin. The adjustable soft start time allows the user to adjust the duration of the soft start sequence within a range of 25us to 1.5s. The adjustable current limit can be set anywhere between 0.25A to 8A and enables the user to protect the output power stage from over current conditions. The external enable pin allows the user to quickly turn the regulator on and off.

The LM5035AEVAL also features an over temperature protection system and a comprehensive output voltage adjust range. The over temperature protection system is designed to prevent damage to the board by monitoring the junction temperature of the high side MOSFET. The output voltage adjust range is between 0.6V to 4V, allowing the user to select the desired output voltage for their application. The output voltage adjust range also allows for tracking, allowing the LM5035AEVAL to operate in a master-slave configuration.

In addition to the standard features mentioned above, the LM5035AEVAL comes with various diagnostic features such as fault indication, user-programmable analog loss comparator, open loop soft start, and more. All these features allow the user to quickly evaluate the performance of the LM5035A and determine if their application requires additional components or additional tuning of the board parameters.

The LM5035AEVAL is a powerful development tool which allows the user to evaluate the performance of the LM5035A and gain a better understanding of the device\'s features.
