The LM5070 is a fully integrated off-line SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply) evaluation board, specifically designed to evaluate and develop the LM5070AE, a high performance, low power consuming, and low cost off-line DC/DC and AC/DC SMPS IC (Integrated Circuit). The IC can quickly provide a simple, robust, and cost-effective way to develop and evaluate off-line switching regulator designs for a wide variety of consumer and industrial applications.

The overall design of the board consists of a very small footprint, making it suitable for a variety of applications. It is very economical and efficient in its power consumption, capable of running at extreme low voltages, and is designed with high accuracy and a maximum input voltage capability. It also has adjustable output voltage, which can vary within a range of 12 to 24 V, depending on the application.

The LM5070 evaluation board includes a number of features that makes it easy to program and use. It has an integrated voltage regulator, providing 3.3V, 5V, and 12V supplies to help power the device.
