The evaluation board is powered by 200V/30A DC power supply and a 9.3Vwall adapter. It features integrated EMC filter, onboard measurement devices, and a graphical user interface for programming the hardware and controlling the system.The onboard EMC filter can be easily integrated to the output of the evaluation board to reduce conducted and radiated emissions. The graphical user interface is provided by the NPXSmtkGUI software and enables easy configuration of the board components such as the input and output voltages, switching frequency, current limit, and much more. The graphical user interface also comes with support for debugging, data logging, and other application-specific functions.The evaluation board has two main applications; control of power factor correction (PFC) and offline Flyback SMPS. In the PFC application, the evaluation board utilizes an optimized open loop configuration, which can be easily modified to a self-oscillating loop by adding an external feedback network. In the offline Flyback SMPS application, the evaluation board also provides gate drive protection (GDP) and line under/over voltage protection (LVP/OVP).The LM5118EVAL/NOPB evaluation board demonstrates the performance of the LM5118 in various applications.
