Application Fields and Working Principle

LMV339IPW dual, rail-to-rail comparators are designed for use in automotive, portable, and digital consumer applications. The device offers excellent performance and is easily configured to compare two analog signals, digital signals, or the difference between two signals.The device features inputs that are independent of each other and individually configurable. This allows the two inputs to be compared to each other in a variety of ways. The LMV339IPW is designed to operate on a single supply voltage of 5 V. It also features low offset voltage and low power consumption, making it an ideal choice for low voltage and battery powered applications.The comparator operates by comparing an incoming voltage with a reference voltage. When the incoming voltage exceeds the reference voltage, the output is high. When the incoming voltage is less than the reference voltage, the output is low. This non-inverting comparator can be used for different comparator functions such as window, latch, amplifier and limiter.The device has excellent input sensitivity for a wide range of input signals, as well as distortion-free switching action for fast response time.
