The LNK6777K device is a triple output offline switcher IC specifically optimized for multi-rail power supply applications. LNK6777K’s PWM generator deducts the current and voltage information of power train from two primary control loops - the frequency/duty cycle control loop and the peak current control loop. The frequency / duty cycle loop is an under-voltage-detection control loop and is in charge of setting the maximum peak current from the output voltage and then adjusting the duty cycle accordingly. The peak current loop consists of voltage and current sensors for each output. This adjust the peak current at different loads to maintain the same output voltage of each output.

The quasi-square-wave generator of LNK6777K allows the output current to keep its sinusoidal waveform while implementing advanced protection mechanisms to ensure safe operation. The quasii-square-wave generator includes over-voltage protection, active-clamp over-current protection, over-temperature protection, predetermined start-up time, lost-load protection and short circuit protection. It also includes an on/off pin which is used to control the PWM output when the IC is used in Off-line applications.
