It is a three-channel low-voltage, low-current supervisor with Power-On Reset (POR), manual reset and supply voltage monitor. The device offers over-voltage and under-voltage monitoring of three separate voltage supplies in order to detect supply voltage faults. It is also capable of providing reset assertion when any of the three monitored voltages falls below a specified threshold level and de-assertion when all the supply voltages are within the specified operating range.The LP3470IM5-2.83/NOPB is suitable for applications including embedded systems, communications systems, power tools, PCs and controllers, and automotive systems. Some of its features include low operating input current of 2.83µA, over-voltage/under-voltage monitoring, manual reset, active-low reset assertion and de-assertion, user-programmable hysteresis, power fail warnings/interrupts, power-good reset delays, high accuracy and low output impedance, wide voltage range and a wide operating temperature range from -40°to 85°C.The LP3470IM5-2.83/NOPB Supervisory Circuits require a single capacitor for external reset delay setting operation. The capacitor is used for setting the external reset delay, which determines when reset is asserted or de-asserted. The device uses an open-collector output configuration, which allows the pull-up to drive the logic inputs on a logic circuit to the same state by driving the output low.The device allows for a power-on reset (POR) for user-programmable applications. The reset delay is programmable using a capacitor connected to the DE_SET pin. The POR allows the user to control the timing of the reset output when the supply voltage rises above a threshold level. The POR also ensures that the power-on reset output is delayed long enough to allow the power supply to stabilize before the reset output is asserted.The LP3470IM5-2.83/NOPB offers a manual reset pin, which allows the user to manually reset the device. When the RESET_IN pin is held low, the reset output is asserted and all the monitored voltages are considered valid. When the RESET_IN pin is held high, the reset output is de-asserted and the monitored voltages are considered invalid.The LP3470IM5-2.83/NOPBis also equipped with a supply voltage monitor, which is used to monitor the supply voltage of three independent voltage channels. The device monitors each voltage channel for under-voltage and over-voltage conditions, and the monitored values are continuously compared to the user-defined threshold levels.
