The LP3470IM5X-3.65/NOPB is a PMIC- Supervisors member which is developed by Texas Instruments. It has the capability to efficiently manage the voltage regulation and sequencing of your system.
The LP3470IM5X-3.65/NOPB is a microprocessor supervisor with a power supply supervisor. It provides five reset outputs, each with a reset threshold voltage adjustable from 1.2V to 3.65V, with a maximum reset timeout of 1.5ms. Its wide operating supply voltage from 1.6V to 5.5V and ultra-low power consumption is ideal for small-sized power supplies.
The LP3470IM5X-3.65/NOPB has two power output circuitry, respectively working as two separate supervisory channels. Among them, the first channel is specified to manage power-up/power-down sequencing and voltage monitoring. The other channel is designed to operate as reset channel, which can deliver multiple reset signals when the voltage falls below the preset threshold value.
The power-on reset and manual reset of the device is activated by asserting active high reset or by asserting reset low during power-up reset. The active low power-good output (PGO) is used to indicate that the LM3470 is within the operating voltage range. After device power-up and the PGO output is activated, the device begins monitoring for a single cycle reset event.
The reset outputs provide both active low reset and open-drain reset. The high-impedance CMOS output allows more than one reset output facilitates distributed control methods to expand system reliability. This function makes the LP3470IM5X-3.65/NOPB qualify for a variety of applications, such as networking and communication, mobile device, computer and peripherals, and industrial applications.
Besides, the LP3470IM5X-3.65/NOPB also provides a low dropout (LDO) output, which can be used to power up or maintain the state of the system’s power (PMOS/NPN) transistors. The LDO output voltage can be programmed in 100mV increments up to 4.2V. In addition to the LDO output, the LP3470IM5X-3.65/NOPB also has a low power open drain (LPO) output available, designed to supply an additional low power channel protected with configurable overcurrent and overvoltage protection. The LPO output can be used to monitor power supply voltages in application with multiple power supplies.
The LP3470IM5X-3.65/NOPB also features an I2C/SMBus digital enable/disable (ENX) input, which can be used to provide system shutdown in the event that the power supply voltage is outside the preset voltage range. This has been designed to provide painless integration into a multi-supply system for reset and monitoring.
The LP3470IM5X-3.65/NOPB has many features that provide high performance, such as fast activation/deactivation of reset and output, low power consumption and wide operating temperature range. It allows reset thresholds to be accurately programmable, providing flexibility to meet a variety of design requirements.
