It can provide up to 60V input voltage, enabling it to supply power to a wide variety of digital systems. An internal linear regulator is used to generate the logic power supply.The buck converter is equipped with a wide input voltage range (2.5V to 60V) and can operate with input voltages as low as 1.5V above the output voltage. This low start-up voltage allows the LP3470IM5X-4.8 to be powered from an external 1.5V battery or an on-board supercap.The buck regulator supports a 3.3V or 4.2V output voltage with programmable current limit and is controlled either via an external synchronous MOSFET or an internal linear regulator. The synchronized MOSFET enables fast transient response, while the internal regulator helps to reduce overall cost and power consumption.The LP3470IM5X-4.8 also features two low dropout (LDO) voltage regulators designed to provide a stable, regulated voltage supply to internal components. They are equipped with a wide output voltage range (0.8V to 5.4V) and current limit as well as an adjustable soft-start for an adjustable power supply turn-on time.The two voltage regulators of the LP3470IM5X-4.8 are also protected with over-current, over-temperature, and under-voltage protection. In addition, an adjustable switch-mode power supply (SMPS) with a wide output voltage range (1.8V to 4.5V) is available, providing a very low quiescent current for extremely low power consumption.The LP3470IM5X-4.8 is designed to meet user needs in terms of flexibility and performance.
