The LT3757AEDD#PBF is a high frequency, dual output, switching regulator controller which can operate from an input voltage range of 2.8V to 60V and is ideal for applications such as portable medical devices, automotive and industrial applications where high efficiency, fast transient response and high current capability is required. This device is capable of operating as either a step-down or step-up/down regulator and can deliver up to 2.5A output current.
The LT3757AEDD#PBF is a very versatile switching regulator controller and can be used in a variety of applications including:
- Voltage Boost/Inverting: The LT3757AEDD#PBF can be used to convert a low input voltage up to a higher output voltage. The LT3757AEDD#PBF works by using an onboard PWM controller to generate the required switching signals to drive an external FET switch to step up or down the input voltage. The device can also be used to convert the output voltage from a high voltage to a lower voltage thanks to its onboard inversion control logic.
- High Voltage Step-Down: The LT3757AEDD#PBF can also be used to step down a high input voltage (up to 60V) to a lower output voltage. The device uses an integrated PWM controller to generate the required switching signals to drive the external FET switch. The device’s feedback pin can be used to accurately regulate the output voltage.
- Step-Up/Down: The LT3757AEDD#PBF can be used to convert a low to medium input voltage to a higher output voltage, as well as reduce a high input voltage to a lower output voltage. The device can be used in either step-up or step-down configurations depending on the application requirements.
