It is a low power, base converter consisting of two main components, a main converter and an auxiliary converter. The main converter has an active clamping (AC) topology and the auxiliary converter is an active clamping (AC) synchronous rectifier. This controller provides a maximum of 50 kHz switching frequency. It provides a high-efficiency, low noise, and low power dissipation solution for a wide range of power supply applications. The LYT4214E2 is designed to provide a complete and independent output control solution for AC-DC and DC-DC converters. It features a unique power-factor-based adaptive response modulation and a high-performance preconditioning. It is also capable of providing rapidly-responding output switching and peak-detection functions.
