LYT4314E2 is a highly integrated offline switcher, designed to address the requirements of a wide range of AC/DC power supply applications.

It is advanced buck-boost converter with wide input voltage range. It supports high power factor operation and wide step-down conversion capability. It is designed to operate in Buck, Buck-Boost, Boost and Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM) making it ideal for multiple diverse applications.

The LYT4314E2 includes a 800mA-high precision current mode PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) controller and two external power MOSFETs. It also includes two or three (optional) external linear regulators to regulate the output voltage. The LYT4314E2 provides internal protection for under voltage lockout (UVLO), frequency fold back (FFB) over current protection (OCP), thermal shutdown (TSD) and Auto-Restart.

The LYT4314E2 operates at a switching frequency of 600kHz in CCM (Continuous Conduction Mode). Its maximum output current is up to 3A which is enough to meet the requirements of most power supply applications. The IC operates over an input voltage range of 6V to 36V, making it suitable for various input sources like a 12V battery, 24V traction power source or a dual output desktop power supply.

The working principle of the LYT4314E2 is that it uses two or three external linear regulators to regulate the output voltage.
