The MAX11040DB+ is an evaluation board that contains an Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC). The chip on the board is a dual, high-speed, simultaneous sampling 12-bit ADC which samples both channels at 25 MSPS. This purpose of this evaluation board is to provide a platform demonstrating the features and benefits of the MAX11040 16-bit, dual, simultaneous sampling ADC.

The board contains two MAX11040 DB+ chips which each contain a 12-bit ADC and the necessary features such as high-speed digital-to-analog and analog-to-digital converters, an on-chip tracking ADC, a low power temperature sensor, and a programmable frequency synthesizer. The board also includes two programmable multiplexers, one for each ADC, and two separate clocks, one for each ADC, allowing for operation at different clock frequencies.

The following components are found on the MAX11040 DB+: two pairs of 16-bit DACs, two low noise amplifiers (LNA), two digitally programmable notch filters, two balanced signal outputs (SDO), two low power DC-DC regulators, two programmable multiplexers, two differential inputs, and two reference pins. Each MAX11040 DB+ board also includes a digital-to-analog converter (DAC), MUX control logic, transceiver logic, JTAG logic, and an on-chip temperature sensor.
