The MAX11504EVKIT+ is an evaluation kit and demonstration board that provides an efficient platform for quickly and easily demonstrating and testing Maxim Integrated’s MAX11504EGUE+ IC, specifically for devices requiring a low-power integrated direct digital synthesizer and voltage regulator. Being part of the MAX11504 family of devices, this evaluation kit provides the capabilities to quickly evaluate the device’s features and benefits for applications including precision instrumentation, smart phones, automated test equipment, and wireless charging.The MAX11504EGUE+ chip implements two voltage regulators, a low cost stable voltage reference, and low noise communications. The chip is designed to accept an input voltage from 0.86V up to 5.5V and to output a stable volatage from 0.5V to 3.3V. In addition, the chip includes a 0.75mV noise-reduction bandgap voltage reference with an accuracy of 0.5%.The MAX11504EVKIT+ consists of a PCB, a power adapter, a user\'s manual, and the necessary software. This evaluation kit includes an onboard USB-to-Serial Adapter that allows communication with a host platform via a USB cable, or it can be used to communicate serially with an I2C or SPI peripheral device. The MAX11504EVKIT+ also includes a USB-powered, isolated power supply with an adjustable output voltage from 0.7V to 3.3V, allowing the evaluation of the chip’s low power features.The on-board MAX11504EGUE+ IC can be easily programmed and configured using the I2C, SPI, and USB serial interfaces, simply by downloading the appropriate software from Maxim Integrated. Through these interfaces, the onboard MAX11504EGUE+ IC can be programmed to operate in either a single-channel mode or a dual-channel mode. In the single-channel mode the output voltage range can be configured by the user from 0.9V up to 2.9V. In the dual-channel mode the output voltage range can be configured from 0.9V up to 1.9V for one channel and from 2.4V up to 3.2V for the other channel.The MAX11504EVKIT+ is designed to allow the user to quickly and easily evaluate the performance of the onboard MAX11504EGUE+ IC and to test its application in both single- and dual-modes. It provides a convenient platform to evaluate the MAX11504EGUE+ IC and design a working prototype quickly that works under a wide range of environmental and voltage conditions. The MAX11504EGUE+ IC is designed for applications requiring low-power direct digital synthesizer/regulator products that offer the highest level of performance and integration.The MAX11504EVKIT+ evaluation kit is ideal for the development of applications that require low power, high accuracy, low noise communications, and low cost. By employing the features of the MAX11504EGUE+ IC, designers can quickly develop and test system implementations for a wide range of products and applications. This evaluation kit provides engineers with a reliable platform for quick and efficient evaluation and characterization of the IC’s features, capabilities, and design performance.
