The MAX1061BEEI+ is an 8-bit, low power, serial input, CMOS analog-to-digital converter (ADC). It is designed for use in a wide array of analog-to-digital signal acquisition applications such as audio, telecommunication, data acquisition, instrumentation, and process control systems. When low dynamic range and low power consumption are requirements, the MAX1061BEEI+ is the ideal solution.The MAX1061BEEI+ is a complete 8-bit ADC with a sampling speed of 1Ms/s and an accuracy of ±1 LSB. It features a throughput rate that is up to 10x better than competitive designs and a ±1 LSB accurate zero-code that guarantees a high accuracy level through its entire operating range. The device also features an on-chip reference with a ±1 LSB accuracy and an adjustable gain multiplexer that adapts from a 0.1V input range to a 10V range.The MAX1061BEEI+ can operate from a single supply voltage as low as 1.8V and can be programmed for different input ranges to meet fluctuations in signal input levels. This device is also designed with a low operating current of only 4.2mA typical, which makes it ideal for use in battery-powered devices. The device can be externally clocked for improved performance and has self-calibrating mode for improved accuracy.The MAX1061BEEI+ is designed to be easily integrated into systems by incorporating its on-board serial input, its I2C compatible serial programming interface and its serial output interface.
