Evaluation Boards - Analog to Digital Converters (ADCs)The MAX1402EVKIT+ evaluation board is a low-cost tool that contains a MAX1402 ADC. This ADC can convert analog signals into digital format and is ideal for evaluation purposes.The MAX1402EVKIT+ evaluation board includes a dual switchable input gain selector, a jumper selectable input voltage range, a voltage reference, an isolation amplifier and an optional power supply. The dual switches enable the user to switch between two different gains, allowing different input voltages to be accepted by the ADC. The jumper selectable input voltage range gives the user the ability to adjust the input voltage and value ranges that the ADC can accept. The onboard voltage reference provides the reference voltage to the ADC, which in turn is used to set the reference voltage for the analog-to-digital conversion. The isolation amplifier provides the necessary electrical isolation between the ADC and the input device, eliminating the need for extra off-board wiring. Finally, the optional power supply allows for the ADC to be powered by external power sources, such as batteries or solar cells.The MAX1402EVKIT+ board is an excellent tool for evaluating Maxim\'s MAX1402 ADC. It allows users to quickly and easily get an understanding of how the MAX1402 ADC works and how it can be used for their applications. It features a single-ended analog input and a single-ended digital output. The MAX1402 also provides an adjustable sample-and-hold capacitor, allowing users to choose the desired sample rate and, thus, the resolution of the ADC.The MAX1402 ADC is a low-power, low-noise ADC that consumes only 2.1 mA in continuous operation. It also features a wide input dynamic range of 0 to 10V and can operate on a single-supply voltage ranging from 4.5V to 5.5V. The MAX1402 provides a range of output data rate from 15SPS to 2.1 MHz.In addition to the evaluation board, the MAX1402EVKIT+ includes a PC software application called MaxScope. MaxScope is an interactive, graphical application that allows users to interact with the MAX1402 ADC and plot the results of their experiments.
