The MAX1455EVKIT-NS consists of two independent audio amplifiers, a microphone preamplifier, and a headphone amplifier. The audio amplifiers are connected to a power management IC, which supplies power to the headphone amplifier and preamplifier. The two independent gain controls are configured with on-board jumpers and an external potentiometer can be connected to the board to adjust the amplifier gains. The microphone preamplifier is used to amplify the input signal to a level suitable for input to the headphone amplifier.
