MAX14745EVKIT is a power-management evaluation and demonstration kit based on MAX14745, the world’s smallest 4-slot multiprotocol power-line communications (PLC) transceiver. The MAX14745EVKIT features four independent PLC protocol channels. Each protocol channel can be independently configured to support a variety of PLC protocols such as HomePlug AV, HPAV, PRIME, G3-PLC, IEEE P1901.2 and many more, making the MAX14745EVKIT a great flexible platform for a long list of power-line communications.The main components of the MAX14745EVKIT are the MAX14745 transceiver and the MAX14781, the MAX14781, is an integrated transceiver control circuit. The MAX14781 provides a configurable interface that enables the microcontroller and the MAX14745 to communicate via a single SPI/UART serial bus. The MAX14781 also has a low-power sleep mode to reduce power consumption when the transceiver is not in use.The MAX14745EVKIT can be used in a variety of applications including power-line communication networks (PLCN), smart grid monitoring, building automation, and many other implementations where the use of max14745 is beneficial.
