Features
MAX14777GTP+ is a 3.3V powered single-channel Coaxial LiNC Toggle Switch with a 50Ω impedance. It has a low On-resistance of 2Ω and an insertion loss of 1.7MHz@1A, 2.2MHz@2A or 3MHz@3A. It offers low insertion loss across the full frequency range, low EMI and it also supports different high speed data digital interface such as LVDS, LVPECL, and SSTL. With a very few numbers of external components, it can greatly reduce system cost and the total BoM (Bill of Material). In addition, it has a high degre I/O impedance matching capability of up to 50Ω. Owing to its unique and high performance features, it can be adopted in a variety of great applications such as High-Frequency Active Release Switch, Active Loopback Switch, Amplifier Switch and Equalizer Switch for testing purposes.
Working principle
MAX14777GTP+ uses a CMOS technology to achieve a high linear performance switching effect. It consists of multiplexers, demultiplexers and bi-directional switches for for routing RX and TX signals in bi-directional applications. The multiplexers, demultiplexers and bi-directional switches are actuated by two control input pins, which allow one side to switch to the other side as determined by user. The whole switch device works according to the commands of the user\'s digital control inputs and the internal logic to choose the switches, which route either the TX signals or the RX signals to their destination.
The MAX14777GTP+ uses internal logic to ensure that each switching action is clean, free of noise or distortion. The switching action is completed in two steps. In the first step, the multiplexer select the right TX signals. Then, the demultiplexer select the right RX signals. This process is transparent, and it is also asynchronous, allowing for multiple switching events without interruption.
