?The MAX14826GTG+T is an integrated level translator consisting of one non-inverting differential receiver and one non-inverting differential driver, making it ideal for applications that operate on multiple voltage levels. It has an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and is optimized for use with HSTL, LVDS and LVPECL inputs and outputs. The MAX14826GTG+T offers a wide range of voltage levels, including up to 4.5V (Voltage Programming Voltage, VCC1), down to 1V (VST), and up to 12V (Voltage HSTL Drive Voltage, VCC2). It also has an integrated ESD protection switch pre-biased to 13V (VSB) or ground.
The MAX14826GTG+T is designed for automotive and industrial applications, where high temperature ranges, vibrational and ESD protection, as well as wide voltage level range needs are required. It is designed for use with SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface)- and low-level logic (LVCMOS) systems, with the option to select an SMA resistor for the VCC1 voltage selection. The device also features programmable output voltages with adjustable rise and fall times, up to 6 user-selectable common mode bias current levels, and a programmable output voltage shift.
The MAX14826GTG+T offers extended reliability, as each driver and receiver channel is independently protected against static, dynamic electrical overstress (EOS). Additionally, there is an independent input clamp voltage for ESD protection and a wide range of output logic levels for the highest noise immunity. The device is tested for clock frequency operation up to 50MHz, buffered clock or data frequencies up to 16MHz.
The MAX14826GTG+T runs on two split power supplies, VCC1 (Voltage Programming Voltage) and VCC2 (Voltage HSTL Drive Voltage), enabling system supply flexibility, as well as a wide voltage level range on the same board. The device has an additional ESD protection switch that is pre-biased to either 13V (VSB) or ground, ensuring reliable performance in high-noise ESD environments, such as the automotive and industrial environments. The integrated ESD protection switch offers up to 15,000V of ESD protection and up to 300mA peak current. The ESD protection switch monitors the input voltage and prevents any potential latch-up.
The MAX14826GTG+T offers an integrated differential receiver and driver to simplify system design and layout, reducing board space and power consumption. The device supports 1-to-4 and 2-to-4 channel configurations for LVDS and HSTL inputs and outputs. Moreover, it can be configured with 4-state output capabilities and allows the user to configure up to 4 output voltage levels with up to 6 user-selectable output logic levels, including high-impedance, logic low, logic high, pull-up and pull-down.
The device has a wide operating temperature range (-40°C to +125°C), making it ideal for automotive and industrial applications that require higher temperature operation. Additionally, the device also has programmable output edges, allowing the user to adjust the rise and fall times of the output signals, while maintaining the highest noise immunity. This versatile and powerful level translator is well-suited for high-speed, high-temperature, low-noise and low-power industrial and automotive applications.
