MAX14891ECTP+

The MAX14891ECTP+ family of devices is a highly integrated, ultraflexible and high performance analog-to-digital receiver, digital-to-analog driver, and transceiver (RX/TX) for RF applications. As an integrated transmitter, it is capable of driving high power levels and providing a flexible, low cost solution for short-range and low power base station applications. As a receiver, the MAX14891ECTP+ family provides high performance networking with a high speed multi-channel receiver.

The MAX14891ECTP+ family is designed to satisfy a wide range of applications such as mobile wireless, wireless LAN, and wireless Inter/Intranet access. These devices can provide base station and broadband modem networking, satellite link applications and many other residential, public and commercial applications.

The MAX14891ECTP+ family has two integrated drivers – one for the base transmitter and one for the receiver. The drivers are designed to provide high power and low current consumption with high linearity. The output driver is able to provide up to 20dBm output power with a low current consumption of only 7mA. The receiver driver is optimized for low distortion and high linearity, providing excellent reception sensitivity and a low noise floor. Additionally, the MAX14891ECTP+ family also has a programmable attenuator offering a wide range of output power control.

The MAX14891ECTP+ family of devices also includes a digital-to-analog transceiver (RX/TX). This transceiver allows complete digital control of the device and is perfect for applications where the signal chain has to be changed quickly and without any external components. The transceiver contains two PLLs – one for the receiver and one for the transmitter. These two PLLs enable the receiver and transmitter to operate independently and can also be synchronised to provide low non-conformance in applications such as simultaneous transmitting and receiving.
