The MAX14955EVKIT# Evaluation and Demonstration Board and Kit is an advanced product designed to provide designers the important tools necessary in order to evaluate and functionally demonstrate the integrated features of the MAX14955, a high-efficiency charging device. This evaluation and demonstration board and kit allow users to easily design more efficient, robust, and reliable products for their applications. The EVK essentially integrates the charging and system intelligence managed by the MAX14955 into the demonstrator. It is designed to work with high power applications, such as 12V, 5A, 60W, and up. It has various advanced features, such as real-time monitoring and status reporting, wide range of controllable current settings, programmable switching frequency, remote sensing and fault protection, advanced battery safety charge, self-calibration, and more. The EVK can be used to design high efficiency systems for a variety of applications, such as automotive, industrial, and medical. It can be used to power a wide range of end applications, such as 12V battery charging systems, solar applications, and back-up power systems. The EVK also makes it possible to design systems with remote monitoring and control. The MAX14955 is a high-efficiency, low-current battery charging controller and provides the system intelligence of the EVK. It is capable of detecting the battery voltage, current, and temperature, and can protect the battery against overcharging and other charging faults. It also provides adjustable current regulation, temperature regulation, charging balance control, and over-temperature protections.
