The MAX15003EVKIT+ is a complete solution for evaluating the MAX15003, an asynchronous buck regulator with standby mode and an adjustable output voltage. This evaluation board can be used to measure the DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS system characteristics that are essential for the design and operation of a regulated DC power source.

The MAX15003EVKIT+ comes with two boards: a DFN16 maximizer evaluation board and an 836-pin PQFN thermally enhanced test board. TheMAX15003EVKIT+ DFN16 Evaluation Board is designed to provide a low-cost, scalable testing platform for evaluating the MAX15003 in “real world” conditions. It features an adjustable output voltage that ranges from 5V to 20V, and the output voltage can be adjusted manually or via a backchannel voltage setting pin. The board also comes with an adjustable LPF, providing a wide range of output voltage ripple levels of up to 50mV. In addition, the board includes an adjustable switching frequency of up to 1MHz, as well as two selectable operating modes: continuous operation and standby mode.

The MAX15003EVKIT+ includes an 836-pin PQFN thermally enhanced evaluation board. This board was designed to evaluate the thermal, electromagnetic interference (EMI), and power consumption characteristics of the MAX15003 in varying thermal conditions. This evaluation board features an 8x8 pin XLS thermal test site with two separate heating elements, providing designers an easy-to-use platform to evaluate the MAX15003’s output voltage stabilizing performance over a wide range of temperatures.

The MAX15003EVKIT+ is an effective evaluation platform for designers to evaluate and validate the DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS system characteristics of the MAX15003. The MAX15003EVKIT+ provides an adjustable output voltage and switching frequency of up to 1MHz. It features an adjustable LPF, allowing designers to modify the output voltage ripple level of up to 50mV. In addition, the board includes an 8x8 pin XLS thermal test site with two individual heating elements to evaluate the MAX15003 in various thermal conditions.
