The MAX15005AEVKIT+ Evaluation Kit is a low-cost, easy-to-use circuit for evaluating the MAX15005A, a high-performance, highly-integrated, off-line, dual-mode switch-mode power supply (SMPS). The MAX15005AEVKIT+ provides a complete reference design for an off-line, dual-mode SMPS. It supplies a total output of 5 Watts, and uses either a buck or a flyback topology in the circuit.
The MAX15005AEVKIT+ includes an integrated MAX15005A, with a 0.6V undervoltage lockout, 0.82V UVLO flag, 0.5mA externally programmable IDD, and overtemperature shutdown threshold of 145°C (TJ). The integrated device features a 650mV precision reference, four stages of Frequency Hopping, PWM sequencing, frequency foldback, and soft-start ramping. All functions of the power supply are programmable using the on-board potentiometers.
