Working Principle of MAX15059EVKIT+

The MAX15059EVKIT+ operates on a single-stage switch-mode power supply (SMPS) principle. The device is designed to take power from an AC or DC power source and convert it to a DC voltage at the output.The MAX15059EVKIT+ features a full bridge rectifier configuration, which allows it to achieve high efficiency and high power density. The switch mode technique employed by the device to increase efficiency begins with a rectifier stage that converts AC power applied to the input rectifier to a DC voltage.Following the rectifier stage, is an energy storage device such as a capacitor or inductor that stores the input energy.
