MAX15062C12EVKIT is an advanced, high-performance standard evaluation board for DC/DC and AC/DC (off-line) SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply) applications. The board is used to evaluate the functionality and performance of the MAX15062C1 DC/DC 2A switching regulator. The EV kit includes a MAX15062C1 DC/DC converter IC, low profile magnetic components including an inductor and a transformer, a PTF1033A 5V/12V jumpstart power supply, an IRF7319 gate driver and an isolated heatsink.The board consists of two power stages. The primary input stage is based on a 100V/12V flyback converter with an isolated heatsink. It includes integrated components such as a magnetics, low capacitance TVS diodes, low inductance resistors, inductor, MOS driver, and a bypass capacitance. The secondary stage is a buck pre-regulator with low ESR output capacitors and an integrated noise filter. Each stage contains an active current limiting feature that ensures an accurate and safe operation.The MAX15062C12EVKIT board provides the ability to negotiate power ratings from 1W to 10W, input voltages ranging from 3V to 37V and a maximum output voltage of 12.5V. It also has an efficient set of protection features including fast over-voltage protection (FOP) and short-circuit protection (SOCP). The board has a wide frequency range up to 2MHz which makes it suitable for industrial as well as automotive applications.The MAX15062C12EVKIT offers an easy to use graphical interface and real-time monitoring to allow users to easily optimize the performance of the system.
