MAX1676EVKIT is a utility evaluation board that provides designers with a flexible and easy way for testing or verifying various off-line switched-mode power supplies (SMPS) such as boost converters, flyback converters, inverters, buck/boost converters and others. It helps designers to evaluate the MAX1676 2MHz single-ended controller IC which is designed to drive a 500V, 6A N-channel MOSFET with a minimum number of external components. The MAX1676 system includes the industrial-grade MAX1676EVKIT evaluation board, and the associated GUI software called MAX1676 Designer GUI.

The MAX1676EVKIT is configured and customized using the included graphical user interface (GUI) software. It utilizes the internal or external compensation to optimize the performance of a single-ended power supply circuit. The designer can set the peak current limit, select a topology, define operating parameters for the power stage, select the type of compensation used, choose the voltage and current protection levels, and set up the timing parameters.
