The MAX16818AT+T is a highly integrated device that controls LED lighting through an I2C communications interface. The device includes six LED channels, each of which can be set independently to control the brightness and color of LEDs. Each LED channel is independently controlled by a driver circuit consisting of a buck regulator, a boost regulator, and a push-pull converter. The buck regulator is capable of delivering up to 8W/LED and the boost regulator is capable of delivering up to 20mA/LED. The output of the buck and boost regulators is connected to the output of the push-pull converter which can deliver up to 2A/LED.The MAX16818AT+T also includes a programmable power switch that can be used to control LED current up to a maximum of 2A/LED. This ensures that LEDs are supplied with the correct amount of current and maintains maximum LED performance. The MAX16818AT+T also includes a low power sleep mode, allowing for power savings when the LEDs are not in use. The device also incorporates an onboard temperature sensor that ensures that LEDs are operated within their specified temperature range.
