MAX16928EVKIT+, evaluation board is a non-isolated DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS switching power supply platform designed by Maxim Integrated. This integrated power solution seeks to perfect advanced synchronous rectifier for matrix of high frequency power converters.
The DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS platform, MAX16928EVKIT+, supports multiple topologies, in particular single-stage systems between Vin of 12V to 32V, and an output of 4V to 60V designed with a peak current efficiency (Iout) of 80%. This evaluation platform also offers increased power density, allowing it to handle up to 8A. It also takes the lead in the section “Digital Control Loop” as it offers digital PWM and Current Mode control methods.
MAX16928EVKIT+ was built on a microcontroller (MCU) and digital signal processor (DSP) system. This is due to its highly efficient buck-boost converter, a high bandwidth digital compensator, adjustable switching frequency, adjustable synchronization pin (SYNC), and low dropout regulator (LDO) to eliminate noise issues that may arise when used in noise-sensetive environment. Furthermore, the system includes preemptive functions, such as over-temperature protection and short-circuit protection to provide convenience and security. It also maximizes board space efficiency and allow for users to modify the design and maximize performance for their own advantages.
