It also works as a cost effective platform for LED lamp applications operating at a wide input voltage range from 22V to 44V delivering 3.5A output.The MAX16936EVKIT is designed to provide a high power conversion efficiency in a small package. It is a Flyback type DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS power supply evaluation board with primary side output current sense and a regulated output. It has an integrated pulse width modulation (PWM) controller and a sensing circuit to provide precise current sensing for accurate output voltage regulation. The integrated features reduce the external component count and the EMI profile of the product.The MAX16936EVKIT is based on the MAX16936 high efficiency fully-integrated PWM controller. The device can provide up to 95% power conversion efficiency. It features a wide input voltage range, a wide output voltage range and a low noise system operation. The output voltage is adjustable using a pot from 0.1V to 24V. The power supply operates over a wide temperature range from -40°C to 85°C. The device is also RoHS-compliant and suitable for industrial applications.In addition to its high efficiency and low noise operation, the MAX16936EVKIT also features various output protection mechanisms to ensure a reliable power delivery system. Its over-voltage protection (OVP) function is set to protect the output voltage from being over-stressed. An integrated peak current limit (ICL) function is included in the device to provide output over-current protection. The device also includes an integrated thermal shutdown feature which prevents the power supply from being over-heated.The MAX16936EVKIT is an ideal platform for end product evaluation and development. It features high power conversion and low noise operation in a small and cost-effective package. It is RoHS-compliant and suitable for industrial applications.
