MAX16936TEVKIT is an evaluation board designed for DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS applications. This board allows for the user to evaluate different DC-DC converters, voltage references, and current sense transistors. It is capable of supplying up to 3 A of controlled DC current, with a full range of power handling capabilities up to 1.2 kW.

The MAX16936TEVKIT board contains the following components: a brushless DC (BLDC) motor, a current sense amplifier, optocoupler, a voltage reference circuit with a low pass filter, a P-channel MOSFET, and a 3-phase bridge rectifier. The board has two operating modes – normal and reduced power – allowing for usage in a variety of power supply configurations.
