The MAX17077EVKIT+ evaluation board is a fully featured design platform for the MAX17077 DC/DC & AC/DC (off-line) SMPS controller. The MAX17077EVKIT+ board allows users to quickly evaluate the various features and performance of the MAX17077 and is suitable for applications such as LED lighting, portable consumer electronics, gaming, auxiliary power supplies, telecom & automotive applications.

The MAX17077 EVKIT+ evaluation board has been designed for low noise and high performance and features a high-efficiency, continuous current-mode PWM controller with PrecisionEnvelope current mode control (PECM). The MAX17077EVKIT+ is a full 2-phase synchronous buck and SEPIC converter capable of delivering up to 300W of continuous output power.

The MAX17077EVKIT+ board enables flexible output voltage, frequency and current ranges, and can be used in applications such as automotive, light-emitting diode (LED) lighting, telecommunications, gaming and consumer electronics. The MAX17077EVKIT+ board contains the MAX17077S integrated circuit along with all of the necessary components for operating a buck or SEPIC DC/DC converter.

All of the necessary components are included with the board, along with a printed circuit board layout, component list, schematic diagram and full user guide. The board also includes various safety features such as over-temperature protection, current limit protection, an isolated RS-485 serial port interface and onboard power supply monitoring. Additionally, the board is designed for use with the optional MAX17083 low-EMI Pulsed-Inductor DC/DC controller.

The MAX17077EVKIT+ evaluation board includes components for typical applications such as automotive, consumer electronics, gaming, LED lighting and telecom. The board is capable of delivering up to 300W of continuous output power and is based on the MAX17077S, an integrated, high-efficiency, continuous-mode PWM controller with PrecisionEnvelope current mode control (PECM). The PECM technology implements a proprietary method for maximum efficiency and improved output voltage accuracy.

The board includes various protection features including input over-voltage protection, input under-voltage lockout, output over-current protection, output over-voltage protection, output current foldback, and an over-temperature protection circuit. The MAX17077EVKIT+ also includes an isolated RS-485 serial port for programming and monitoring, as well as onboard power supply monitoring. The board is also compatible with the optional MAX17083 low-EMI pulsed-inductor DC/DC controller.

The MAX17077EVKIT+ evaluation board is a complete design platform suitable for evaluating and prototyping of the MAX17077 DC/DC & AC/DC (off-line) SMPS controller. The board provides users with a cost-effective and easy to use platform for evaluating the features and performance of the MAX17077 in various applications such as automotive, consumer electronics, gaming, LED lighting and telecom. The board contains all of the components necessary to evaluate the MAX17077, along with various protection features, an onboard power supply monitoring circuit and an isolated RS-485 serial port.
