The MAX1709EVKIT is a evaluation board for complete DC/DC and AC/DC (Off-Line) switching mode power supply (SMPS) solutions. It allows engineers to explore the operating limits of the MAX1709 and evaluate various topologies.

The MAX1709 integrated circuit is a current-mode control cyclo-converter, designed especially for AC/DC applications. It offers many features, such as integrated high and low-side power MOSFET drivers, current-mode overcurrent protection, and undervoltage lockout. It also features an OTP memory block for storing parameters, such as maximum current and ramp rate.

The MAX1709EVKIT features a step-down transformer, which can operate from 30V to 70V.
