The MAX17201G+00E Battery Management IC is a high performance Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC), designed to interface with battery and system power rails to provide power supply monitoring, power sequencing and thermal protection functions. The MAX17201G+00E is a highly integrated, single-chip solution that includes a low dropout (LDO) regulator, a battery-charging controller, an integrated current-sense amplifier, ancillary control logic, low leakage Schottky diodes, and four general-purpose I/Os. All of these features allow the MAX17201G+00E to be used in a wide range of applications like automotive, medical, aerospace and consumer applications.
The MAX17201G+00E is an ideal solution for battery protection needs. It features a wide input voltage range from 2.7V to 5.5V, allowing it to be used with a variety of battery chemistries, including Li-Ion, LiFePO4 and NiMH. The MAX17201G+00E also provides both over-voltage protection and short-circuit protection to ensure the safety of the system in the event of an abrupt voltage spike.
