With a wide input voltage range, tight load regulation, and high types and efficiencies, the MAX17244 is ideal for many battery-powered systems, such as telecommunication and portable medical devices, which need to operate for long periods on limited battery power. The MAX17244ETERA+T is well suited for implementing a low quiescent current buck regulator in a small footprint. The device also includes a high-frequency 100kHz Oscillator, an error amplifier, and a voltage reference, which control the output voltage.The device operates in a single-cycle, fixed frequency, Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) mode. The internal oscillator sets the switching frequency independent of the output voltage and load current. As the load current varies, the width of the pulses increases or decreases to maintain an accurate output voltage.The MAX17244ETERA+T is designed to provide a high-efficiency, power-saving solution while delivering a low output voltage with a very tight load regulation.
