The MAX17292ETCC+ is a step-down, current-mode (CM) regulator ideal for a wide range of portable and industrial applications. It can achieve up to 95.5% efficiency with just 1.5mΩ of external power switch resistance and can deliver up to 3A of continuous load current without an external heat sink. This PMIC - Voltage Regulator - DC DC Switching Regulator integrates dual N-Channel power MOSFETs and a PWM controller with a wide input voltage range of 2.5V to 28V and an adjustable output voltage from 0.6V to 25V to deliver a wide range of operating voltages for different application scenarios. In addition, the device features integrated safety features such as cycle-by-cycle current limiting, thermal overload protection, and short-circuit protection. The MAX17292ETCC+ also includes features that ensure efficient and reliable power delivery such as pick-off current mode control, skip mode, and adjustable frequency.

The MAX17292ETCC+ provides medium- and high-current regulated power supplies where system efficiency, quickly rising load-current operation, and improved magnetic design are required. It also provides a enable/shutdown function, allowing the system to be enabled without cycling power or reset. The device is housed in a tiny 10-pin uMAX package, allowing it to be used in the most space-constrained applications with minimal board area and height.
