The MAX17505EVKITB is an evaluation kit of an integrated offline Switched-Mode Power Supply (SMPS) controller, offered by MaxLinear, Inc. The MAX17505EVKITB is designed to provide just that, and it offers full digital control of both input and output voltage and current. This ensures that the converter is able to operate under a variety of conditions, providing a high level of efficiency.The MAX17505EVKITB is based on the MAX17505E IC which is a compact, single-chip controller specifically designed for offline switching systems. It features an input current range of less than 100 mA up to 65 A, and an output voltage of 0V to 65V. The controller provides a number of features and protections, such as open-loop protection, brown-in/out protection, short-circuit protection, and over-temperature protection. It also offers SmartDiode phase-shifting technology, which enables users to reduce input transients while still maintaining high efficiency.The integrated system of the MAX17505EVKITB also supports auto-restart, enabling it to run reliably when the power source is reconnected. This ensures that the system can remain running even when there is a power interruption, as well as providing excellent temperature performance.
