The MAX3420EETG+ is an advanced USB peripheral controller integrated circuit (IC) designed for low-power embedded applications requiring a USB peripheral/host interface. The MAX3420EETG+ includes a USB transceiver, contacts controllers in a 20-pin Thin TSSOP (TSSOP-20) package, and is ideal for integrating a USB authoring interface into consumer products. With the MAX3420EETG+, designers can add an integrated, low-power USB interface to peripheral ports in consumer products such as digital media players, printers, scanners, cameras, and cell phones.

The MAX3420EETG+ features two serial communications ports: an Enhanced Universal Serial Bus (USB) port and an I/O port. The USB port supports both full- and low-speed USB and is intended for connecting to external USB hosts or peripherals, while the I/O port provides flexible interface support for microcontroller-based applications. The MAX3420EETG+ also includes on-chip pullup resistor regulators and wake-up circuits, enabling the device to operate under low-power conditions.

The MAX3420EETG+ features an 8-bit embedded microprocessor that executes external firmware instructions.
