Working Principle

The MBR6080R is a single-phase, silicon, free-wheeling rectifier diode. It works in a manner similar to other rectifier diodes, but with a few extra features. A rectifier diode acts to convert AC current to DC current; however, the MBR6080R also includes a freewheeling diode to allow the stored energy to be safely discharged.
