MC33160DWR2G Working Principle:
When power is applied to the MC33160DWR2G, the device monitors the voltage rail, comparing it to its adjustable brown-out threshold. If the voltage drops below the threshold, the MC33160DWR2G triggers the open-drain output and sets the push-pull output pin. Both outputs are held until the voltage rail rises to its predefined threshold and the reset timer is released. The device also has an adjustable reset / threshold delay which is used to delay the reset / threshold release in order to ensure a safe startup sequence.
The device also includes a glitch filter, which prevents false-triggering of the reset pin due to transient pulses, and offers additional flexibility in the set-up. Additionally, the user can adjust the output hold time of the open-drain output by selecting one of two sets of pull-up/pull-down resistors, allowing the user to tailor the device to their particular application.
