MIC2039AYMT-T5 is a power management integrated circuit (PMIC) built to support power distribution switching, load driver, and power converter solutions. It is an integrated, dual-channel power switch IC with 16-bit resolution of the switch channels and an integrated MOSFET pass gate that helps to reduce system pin count and improve power efficiency. The IC helps in managing power distribution across your application, making sure that the information provided is accurate and timely.
TheMIC2039AYMT-T5 is capable of driving two channels of independent power MOSFETs with a maximum of 50V and up to 5A current rating. The operating voltage range of this device is from 1.8V to 5.5V. The MIC2039AYMT-T5 uses industry-standard parallel configuration allowing you to control the MOSFETs without changing the application circuit design and drastically reduce design time while ensuring part interchangeability.
The MIC2039AYMT-T5\'s power distribution and load driver capabilities allow support for advanced product features such as multiple soft-start and over-current protection, as well as features for improved efficiency. The MIC2039AYMT-T5 offers wide ranging features like precision current limiting, over-voltage protection, open loop and low EMI output protection. It operates over a wide frequency range from 5kHz up to 500kHz.
In order to control the MIC2039AYMT-T5, a set of control lines known as “Control-pins” are available for controlling the MOSFETs. These control-pins are simple logic level signals which are divided into three categories: current setting pins, overvoltage protection pins and switches. The “state” of each pin determines which MOSFET is enabled and will be operated, making the IC an ideal choice for applications that require multiple power paths.
The MIC2039AYMT-T5 also has a mode selection pin which allows the application designer to configure the MIC2039AYMT-T5 for different desired operations. The three operating modes are: “power-ON”, “power-OFF” and “shutdown” modes.
The MIC2039AYMT-T5 also provides an advanced timing controller which allows the designer to control the device’s timing parameters and optimize the performance associated with its advanced features. The four available timing parameters are “Soft start time”, “Ramp time”, “Holding time” and “Switching frequency”. The MIC2039AYMT-T5 is built with a wide temperature range of -25 °C to 125 °C, making it suitable for many applications.
