The MIC706RN is a cost-effective and versatile power management integrated circuit (PMIC). It is designed to monitor and regulate the system power supply in order to ensure that the power supplied to it remains within acceptable levels. The MIC706RN is a member of the PMIC-Supervisors family, and can be used to manage multiple power supply sources in order to provide reliability and power efficiency in a variety of applications.

The MIC706RN provides the essential functions needed to manage system power with its three primary functions, current monitoring, over-voltage protection (OVP) and under-voltage protection (UVP). The current monitoring function allows the MIC706RN to monitor the current provided to the system in order to ensure that the current coming into the system is within acceptable levels. The over-voltage protection (OVP) feature prevents an over-voltage situation that could damage the system’s components, while the under-voltage protection (UVP) feature prevents the system from running in an under-voltage state.
